On the 14th of November 2016 an earthquake struck Kaikoura — a place loved by many for it's great surf break, fishing and beloved seal colony. As a result of the quakes, many locals were severely affected. Kaikoura was essentially shut off from the rest of the country.
We put the word out to six hand-picked illustrators from new Zealand and abroad — all had a connection in some way with the coast of Kaikoura. We created a series of post cards with each of the illustrations and created an online store where people could purchase and show their support. The project raised over $20,000 for the locals of Kaikoura who had been affected as a result of the quakes.
