Boosted is a digital crowdfunding platform for the arts. Following a brand review in late 2018, it was decided that Boosted was to be brought underneath the Arts Foundation, who had up until then remained behind the scenes. As part of our wider development for the Arts Foundation we developed a brand framework that aligned not only Boosted, but a number of different campaigns, award programmes and sub-brands.
Very much informed by the top level Arts Foundation brand, the identity for Boosted features a paired back, centred typographic approach and muted colour scheme. Exploring ideas around expanding artists' projects, blowing them up or inflating them, we developed a three-dimensional glossy balloon graphic that animates and expands — a connection to the balloon brand imagery of the existing brand. The brand is applied across posters, a funding document and extensively over social media.
Boosted has seen incredible first year results as it looks to boost more opportunities for artists, and amplify their impact. The new platform has seen a doubling in growth. New branded assets such as BoostedLIVE and a full campaign over COVID-19 has raised funds and made the arts easier to digest and more engaging. Boosted has now received 66,500 donations and raised more than $7.2 million over 1059 successful projects.
