Working alongside Brown Bread, we were tasked with the ambitious idea of raising over $200,000 to commission a new Ron Mueck work for the Christchurch Gallery. The tricky bit was that no-one knew what he was going to create. We developed a concept, heavily referencing the graphic nature of Ron’s work, censoring out the letters ’RON’ in large flesh coloured pixels.
The campaign was showcased around Canterbury through street posters, billboards and social. Enamel pins were produced and sold. The campaign became the highest funding arts campaign in the history of Pledgeme, raising over $200,000 for the new work.
