Together with Neat Places we developed Turn Up The Heat — a month-long campaign and festival created as a mechanism to support Christchurch Central City businesses over August and provide a platform to showcase the city in a unique way that unites, inspires and strengthens the Central City identity.
With the aim of attracting Christchurch residents into the central retail precinct and encouraging them to stay and spend money in the local retail businesses, we developed a fiery themed identity which brought energy, excitement and spice during the last month of winter.
The festival featured a mix of art and performances by Christchurch artists, as well as hospitality and retail activations by local businesses. The bold eye-catching creative adorned tables and shop windows right across the CBD, while social media pushed people to the website where the public could vote for their favourite spicy dish and engage with more of the festival offerings.
